Day 1 - The Beginning of a Challenge

History

Twenty Eleven FC's 8th ever season, the Club's 2nd ever in Division 6 has started off with a relative whimper. 4 points from 9 in the League, being thrashed in the FA Cup, while thrashing another team in the Newcomers challenge, lead to some surprise amongst the club's 300 odd supporters.
Fixtures

However, actually playing 2 real teams in the Newcomers Challenge, and beating them has been a bit of a shock. We've never gotten past the 3rd Round, and each time we have reached it because of some kind of luck. This is made even better considering we beat a team in Division 6 of the French leagues as well. I would be a very happy bunny if we made the fourth round.

The seasons started off with the League's only relegated club - Stannington Cardinals. They have a Player Value (TPV) of £3,164,010, which meant we were against it. We lost 5-0, and this suggests my defence is quite weak, however my defence is a work in progress.

This followed with a 1-1 Draw against Leonah, who had a TPV of at least £1 million. This shows the quality  the team is up against, and shows how fantastic the players are to be able to compete against such riches.

Followed by our first win of the season, against AC Helledie United, and even they have a TPV, twice as much as ours. We won 5-3 after coming back from 3-1 down. It shows once again how weak our defence is at present.

Followed by the Cup Games - a 5-0 Thrashing of a Division 8 team, followed by a narrow 1-0 win against Rapid Paris (A French Division 6 Team) showed that maybe we will have some luck this season. However a 6-0 Defeat against a very strong Division 5 Side in the FA Cup left the players smarting.

We are currently 10th in the league, and the highest placed newly promoted team. It shows how high-quality the rest of the League is, especially considering the standard of the teams in the relegation places. I have concerns about staying up this season. 12th has only ever been our target, but I can only hope for that I feel.

My Philosophy

When I play Virtual Manager, my aim is simple. Do it properly. Not how all of the big shots do it, but by keeping a stable team, year in year out.

Last Season I bought 1 player, and that was because I had a player that began to fail miserably, and I wanted to go up for once.

Other than that, its all about Training.
I've made my own Talents, and then been annoyed as they fail at training the next season and they lose that rating.

My squad is potential, and as they get older, they will get better and better. Potentially I could challenge for the Division 6 Title in about 7 seasons time, if everything keeps going, and perhaps starts to go faster.

My Squad - 12th February 2012
Thats my Squad. Its quite small, but it does the job. Looking at it, it feels quite old, but alot of those players are ones I've had for most of my Virtual Manager carrer now. I've been in Division 6 with a few of these players before. My FL Sergey Liapun being one of them. I've had him since he was 22, and in my opinion, he has gotten noticeabily better each season. Its a shame he's now being outshown by Patrick Rosebrik - who was brought in to replace Sergio Fabian Mata, a player I needed to replace to mount a promotion charge.

Stats

These are his Stats. They are probably quite weak, but he is my Second Strongest Player on my team. And he is my best performer.

Training

His training is ok, but I'm less fussed considering how well developed he is in my squad anyway.

My Tactic
My tactic, well its intended to be a strong defence, with Wing Backs and but also a good strong midfield outlet. In reality, my players swarm and then tackle, then try and score. Repeat for 90 minutes. Thats rather frustrating, however if it gets results then so be it.

Training
I just did the teams training for the day. It failed a tad. Was one of the worst my squads had for a while. I think maybe too much champagne.
